Lisa asked:

Although I’m only 13, I’m responsible in the kitchen. I’d like to get recipes that I can make for my family that are sweet. However, my brother is allergic to nuts.   Preferably recipes should not use the oven, but it’s ok if it does.

Rachel Ray’s 30 Mintue Meals Cookbook is good and easy. Only thirty minutes per recipe

On a Nilla wafers box there’s a recipe for banana wafer pudding. You’ll need a blunt knife. Be sure you eat it soon since the wafers get soggy after a while.

Nothers are good, similar to smores but I like them better. To make them, melt some marshmallows then place them between graham crackers and drip with chocolate. They’re very good.

  4. Shea says:

Strawberry shortcake is good and easy. The sponge cakes can be bought ready made at the store. Then put whipped cream and strawberries on it

    RICE KRISPIE ICE CREAM DESSERT

    2 1/2 c. oven crisp rice cereal
    1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. (packed) light brown sugar
    1 qt. ice cream

Mix above ingredients and spread 1/2 of it in a 9″ square pan. Add 1 quart vanilla ice cream (softened to spread). Cover with remainder of mixture. Put in freezer until ready to serve. You can use 1/2 gallon of ice cream and 3 cups Rice Krispies. Need a large cake pan.

    Here’s one: Jello Pinwheels.

Make a package of any flavor Jello. Pour in two cups of mini marshmallows while it’s hot. Then stir until melted. Pour in a greased cookie sheet then put in the refrigerator.

While cooling, marshmallows float to the top. When it’s solid, cut into strips then roll up.

Apple juice can be used to make the Jello.

Another is rice crispy cookies. Just get a big box of rice crispies (generic is fine) and a recipe should be on the box.
